Description

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm proud to present to you the first piece of art of a series of drawings featuring the 12 Labours of Hercules!

I had been drawing mythological characters and creatures since my first submissions here on DA. But I always went with a realistic and serious approach; now I tried to give it a funny wibe with my cartoon style (and give it life thanks to my magical brand new colored pencils). :D

So, this is Hercules working on his first labour: to kill the Nemean lion!
The Nemean lion was a mighty and fearsome beast that plagued the population and hunted people down. But my take shows a more goofy lion. xD
Here, Hercules is trying to strangle him, and the lion is trying to defend himself the best he can, but he only managed to grab one of Hercules' sandals and now he's trying to hit the hero with the shoe.

Do you like it? What do you think of this new series of drawings? I hope you'll enjoy this kind of art, because there're going to be 11 more. xD
I'll alternate these with Fakemon stuff and other art.

I've put the Watermark because I want to mantain the exclusive right on this artwork. If I get the chance, I'd really like to publish it and the other 11 in a book.

Neither seem to be happy with the situation. I don’t know who to feel sorry for more, Heracles/Hercules or the Nemean Lion.
